【摘要】:Theseproceduresprovidemeasuresofthedropimpactresistanceofthegrouporlotofblowncontainersfromwhichthetestspecimenswereselected.Theseproceduresmaybeusedforroutineinspectionpurposes.Theseprocedureswillevaluatetheeffectofconstruction,materials,andprocessingconditionsontheimpactresistanceoftheblowncontainers.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparameters,orcombinationthereof,coveredinthematerialsspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.Iftherearenomaterialspecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesmeasuresofthedropimpactresistanceofblow-moldedthermoplasticcontainersasasummationoftheeffectsofmaterial,manufacturingconditions,containerdesign,andperhapsotherfactors.1.2Threeproceduresareprovidedasfollows:1.2.1ProcedureA,StaticDropHeightMethodThisprocedureisparticularlyusefulforqualitycontrolsinceitisquick.1.2.2ProcedureB,BrucetonStaircaseMethodThisprocedureisusedtodeterminethemeanfailureheightandthestandarddeviationofthedistribution.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note18212;ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
